Job Summary
Own the Brex Assistant end to end, setting product direction, strategy, and roadmap for an AI agent that handles real-world expense, spend, and travel workflows. Define agent capabilities that take autonomous actions, translating messy user needs into reliable behaviors through prompt engineering, eval design, and feedback loops. Prototype quickly, read transcripts, and iterate based on constant user conversations rather than assumptions. Partner closely with engineering, design, and research to shape the agent's behavior while maintaining a high quality bar for a trust-critical financial context. Work in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City, attending office three days a week.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Track record of owning complex, user-facing products end to end
- Experience setting direction and shipping to real users
- Scope and judgment for a senior role
- Built AI products for other people
- Shipped LLM/agent features to real users
- Genuine, hands-on depth in prompting
- Hands-on depth in eval design
- Hands-on depth in iterating against measurement
- Thrive in ambiguity
- Found something early-stage or taken a problem area and run with it on own initiative
- Worked closely with engineering and design rather than in isolation
- Strong product taste and judgment about what's worth shipping to customers and what isn't
- Move fast and go deep
- Comfortable prototyping
- Comfortable reading data
- Comfortable getting into the details
- Based in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City office
- Willing to work in the office at least 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Remote work allowed up to 4 weeks per year, in increments of at least one week
