Job Summary
Senior Product Engineer (Software/Java) at Allstate leads the design and implementation of digital products using Java/J2EE, with a focus on enterprise payment solutions. Required Qualifications
- 4+ years software development experience with Java/J2EE
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring IOC, Spring AOP, Spring Transactions and Spring Security
- Experience with REST APIs including Swagger, versioning, service discovery/registration and testing; familiarity with microservices
- Solid knowledge of relational databases; SQL; database design and indexing
- Strong OO design principles and software development concepts
- Experience with Test Driven Development and testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, JBehave & BDD
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Groovy, SonarQube, Gradle, Maven)
- Experience developing Java-based services and monitoring/observability with Datadog or similar
- Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) for deploying/managing microservices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in Agile/Scrum or XP environments
- Desirable: modern front-end tech (JavaScript, React, Angular); Kafka; cloud (AWS/PCF); monitoring tools; distributed systems
