Senior Product Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the NPI process for GaN semiconductor devices from concept to production release, coordinating cross-functional activities across R&D, Design, Epitaxial, Fabrication, Package Assembly, Test and Reliability. Drive NPI plans, negotiate schedules to align with resources and customer requirements, track status and risks, schedule and run design reviews, monitor testing and qualification results and write engineering reports. Develop screening methods during NPI for qualification and drive root cause investigations of performance and qualification issues. Own and support other engineering projects. Requires 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering and power electronics; BS in engineering or science and/or MS; experience with APQP, FMEA, NPI and SPC; understanding of wafer-level processing, assembly and test methods; strong time management and teamwork; excellent communication; MS Office; JMP; experience with discrete device testing and packaging is a plus. Required Qualifications
- BS in engineering or science discipline and/or MS in engineering or science
- 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, yield engineering and power electronics is a plus
- Experience with APQP design review processes, FMEA, NPI and SPC
- Understanding of process and product development, wafer level processing, assembly and test methods
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively in teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Experience with discrete device testing and semiconductor packaging will be a plus
- Experience with engineering databases, automation and statistical analysis using software such as JMP
