Senior Product Engineer

Job Summary

Own the technical performance and support strategy for assigned products, programs, or customer accounts throughout the product lifecycle. Analyze Engineering Change Notices, customer requests, and product modifications to determine technical, operational, inventory, cost, and quality impacts. Lead implementation of engineering changes, coordinate cross-functional execution plans, and monitor metrics to drive corrective actions. Serve as the primary technical contact for customers regarding product support, technical escalations, and lifecycle activities. Lead regular customer reviews, investigate complex product and manufacturing issues, and apply root cause analysis methodologies. Coordinate engineering activities across Manufacturing, Quality, Test, Supply Chain, and Operations teams while participating in internal and third-party audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, cost reduction, and process optimization. Provide technical coaching and guidance to Product Engineers, Associate Product Engineers, and Engineering Technicians. Track action items, project milestones, and technical deliverables to ensure successful execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
  • Experience supporting electronics manufacturing environments and customer-facing programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering changes, product qualifications, NPI activities, product transfers, and technical escalations
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering activities and driving technical issue resolution
  • Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, engineering change management, and product lifecycle management
  • Advanced understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and configuration management principles
  • Strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfers, validation methodologies, and qualification processes
  • Knowledge of quality systems, audit requirements, and compliance standards within manufacturing environments
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong project coordination and execution capabilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple assignments in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, PLM systems, business reporting tools, and engineering databases
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Qualifications

  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Core Tools, APQP, PFMEA, DFMEA, or equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business Administration
