Job Summary
Lead the technical component of New Product Development and New Technology Development projects from conceptualization through industrialization. Define critical-to-quality requirements early, organize technical activities, and validate schedules with specifications. Write Product Technical Specifications translating customer needs into technical requirements, perform product design and modeling, and conduct calculations including CFD and FEA. Manage subcontracting, coordinate meetings with sourcing and manufacturing departments, and implement design review sessions throughout the project lifecycle. Identify risks, complete functional analysis and FMEA, and carry out technical training for new products. Analyze prototype test results with laboratory teams and prepare invention disclosures to protect intellectual property.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Core Design Engineering experience with minimum 10 years
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design concepts
- Advanced knowledge in Fluid Dynamics
- Working knowledge in FEA/CFD
- Strong material knowledge in valve & material applications, selections (typically used in O&G, Refinery & Power sectors), ASTM material grades & testing
- Be from Pressure Safety valve industry
- Strong knowledge of PSV related codes (ASME, API, EN, ...)
- Current work authorization in the country of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in New Product Design
- Prior experience working in multidisciplinary teams across regions and time zones
- Be a recognized expert for safety and pressure relief valves with a proven track record of success in valve design
- Be part of industrial committees as necessary
- Ideally in Solid Works/ANSYS
