Job Summary
Own the end-to-end design process for the Proposals Squad by initiating UX research, prototyping, and usability testing while incorporating feedback and evaluating metrics. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to create intuitive, user-centered designs that align with company goals and advocate for customers. Apply strategic thinking to product features, balancing fidelity, release velocity, and developer bandwidth within an iterative design cycle. Contribute to team culture through design jams, critiques, and cross-squad initiatives while integrating AI tools to accelerate ideation and synthesis.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in supporting full product life cycles
- Ability to break down complex problems to create intuitive, delightful solutions
- Experience with user research methodologies and demonstrated ability to translate findings into actionable design insights
- Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and advocate for your perspective
- Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to align on goals and execution
- Comfortable integrating AI tools into your design process, from ideation and prototyping to research synthesis, to move faster without sacrificing craft
- Growth mindset. You continually seek opportunities to improve processes, tools, and techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing for construction tech or related software
- History of designing in fast-paced startup environments
- Experience utilizing and contributing to design systems
- You're not afraid to take risks and lead by vocalizing support for innovative solutions that may not always be immediately obvious to stakeholders
