Job Summary
Own the end-to-end design of Playlab surfaces, from prototype through shipped product, crafting production-grade interaction patterns that empower educators to build custom AI apps. Form well-reasoned points of view on core product questions regarding how to expand what teachers can create with AI and lower barriers for meaningful deployment. Drive design space definition, prototyping, and iteration for fuzzy goals while proactively validating decisions with leadership. Maintain technical fluency by building or curating custom AI tooling to accelerate workflows and stay current with emerging AI capabilities. Lead design on owned projects while collaborating closely across the team to shape storytelling that carries the organization's work into the global community.
Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years of experience as a strong design generalist with a home base in product design and real ability in another or other design disciplines
- lead design on the projects you own while collaborating closely across the team
- broad knowledge of creative tools and workflows, including the ones that leverage AI, and you build or curate tooling to speed up your own work
- care about learning and enjoy spending time in learning environments and with the people who create them (teachers, students, school leaders, etc.)
- find joy in getting technical and working with engineers. You might even push some code yourself.
