Job Summary
Design end-to-end experiences for complex B2B payment workflows, including journey maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. Plan and conduct user research with internal teams and external partners to validate design decisions, while building and maintaining scalable design systems. Benchmark designs against competitors and leverage AI tools like v0 and Figma AI to accelerate prototyping and research. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and engineers to translate technical constraints into intuitive user experiences, ensuring accessibility compliance across regulated payment environments. This role spans greenfield development and redesign of existing Payment Gateway products, supporting adjacent initiatives such as design-driven materials and conference planning.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience designing B2B digital products and systems
- Familiarity with financial products, APIs, or transaction systems
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Great communication skills
- Strong verbal and visual presentation skills
- Articulate point of view on design decisions
- Strong ability to simplify complex technical/payment concepts into intuitive user experiences
- Proficiency in Figma
- Experience building and maintaining design systems
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., v0, Cursor, ChatGPT, Midjourney, or similar) to speed up design, prototyping, or research work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing merchant, ISV, and partner-facing experiences that handle onboarding, transaction monitoring, and payment flows
- Understanding of technical constraints, API-driven workflows, and how to design for developer/merchant audiences
- Experience unifying multiple products or platforms under a cohesive design system
- Familiarity with service design techniques (e.g., journey mapping, service blueprints)
