Job Summary
Senior Product Designer to lead the evolution of Koalafi's merchant portal, shaping how retailers manage applications, view activity, access reports, and discover marketing opportunities. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and leadership to research, ideate, design, test, and deliver portal solutions; track the success of shipped designs through product data and user feedback; contribute to and evolve the Koalafi Design System in Figma; and work with tools like Slack, Confluence, and Jira. The role requires 5+ years in UX/UI/product design, expert Figma proficiency, end-to-end design research, strong collaboration and communication skills, a track record of shipping complex web apps or B2B portals, fintech domain experience, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced team. The position offers a salary range of $128,000-$173,000 per year, with remote options in the U.S. and on-site/hybrid opportunities near Arlington or Richmond, VA.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a UX/UI/product design role
- Proven experience designing and shipping complex web applications or B2B portals with responsive design principles
- Expert-level Figma skills (components, auto-layout, grids, slots, variables, prototyping) and fluency with Figma’s AI-powered features
- Experience running end-to-end design research (user interviews, synthesis, workshops) and turning insights into design decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments balancing speed and craft
- Strong empathy for users and ability to translate feedback and data into prioritised problems and solutions
- Experience presenting findings, proposals, and outcomes to leadership
- Experience contributing to or owning a shared design system; attention to spacing, hierarchy, and consistency for engineers
- Fintech industry experience or work with financial products
- Experience in both B2B and B2C contexts (or B2B2C)
- Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Experience integrating AI tools into design workflows (Figma AI features, plugins)
