Job Summary

Lead the design of innovative, engaging user experiences for Humanetics digital products using an agentic AI-first workflow. Orchestrate tools like Claude, Figma Make, and Cursor to compress design cycles, replacing static mockups with interactive, testable prototypes that stakeholders can react to immediately. Drive compression across the entire design lifecycle by collapsing discovery, ideation, and handoff into continuous loops, while building component libraries structured for both humans and AI agents. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and customers to translate goals into intuitive interfaces, validate assumptions with AI-assisted user research, and mentor peers through the adoption of new AI-native patterns. Present work confidently to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to iterate on solutions that empower decision-making in critical environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated expertise
  • 5–8 years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products, including recent hands-on experience in an AI-augmented or agentic design practice
  • A track record of introducing AI tools and workflows that measurably compressed design or delivery timelines (be prepared to share specifics: what you adopted, what you retired, and what it saved)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, problem-solving skills, and AI-assisted ways of working alongside engaging, intuitive outcomes
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern AI design/prototyping tools (e.g., Claude, Figma Make, Cursor, v0, Lovable, ProtoPie or similar)
  • Experience building component libraries and rapid customer-facing prototypes used to validate business requirements, and carrying validated concepts through to production-ready designs
  • Experience with user research methodologies, including AI-assisted synthesis and analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, including guiding peers through AI adoption and new ways of working
  • Up to 10% travel, including international

Desired Qualifications

  • You are passionate about designing intuitive, high-quality digital experiences that solve real user problems — and you believe AI raises the bar for craft rather than replacing it
  • You have lived through an agentic AI transformation of a design practice and can speak concretely to what changed: which tools you adopted, which rituals and handoffs you eliminated, and how much faster your team shipped as a result
  • You prototype in working code using agentic tools (e.g., Claude, Figma Make, Cursor, v0, Lovable), replacing static mockups with interactive, testable experiences that stakeholders can react to on day one
  • You build fast, customer-driven prototypes used to validate business requirements directly with users and stakeholders — then convert what's validated into production-ready designs without losing fidelity or intent
  • You drive compression across the design lifecycle — collapsing discovery, ideation, prototyping, validation, and handoff into short, continuous loops rather than sequential phases
  • You evaluate emerging AI tools constantly, run structured pilots, and champion adoption of the ones that earn their place — bringing the rest of the team along through demos, playbooks, and pairing
  • You collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate product goals into thoughtful, user-centered design solutions
  • You own the full design lifecycle — from AI-assisted exploration and wireframes through polished visuals and engineering handoff, increasingly delivering specs as structured, agent-readable artifacts rather than redlines
  • You simplify complex workflows through clear interaction patterns and usable, accessible design — including emerging AI-native patterns such as conversational UI, agent supervision, and human-in-the-loop controls
  • You use AI to amplify user research — synthesizing interviews, surveys, and usability sessions rapidly — while validating assumptions with real users before conclusions ship
  • You are comfortable building and maintaining a component library and design system from the ground up — tokenized, well-documented, and structured so both people and AI agents generate on-brand, consistent, production-ready output by default
  • You present your work confidently to peers and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to iterate and improve
  • You maintain a strong portfolio that shows not just polished outcomes but your AI-augmented process — and the cycle-time or quality gains it produced
  • You understand front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS) well enough to steer AI-generated code, collaborate with engineers, and respect implementation constraints
  • You keep up with the AI design tooling landscape as it shifts month to month, bringing fresh ideas and approaches to your work
  • You mentor other designers through the transformation — informal coaching, design critiques, and hands-on help adopting agentic workflows
  • Self-starter
  • Self-directed, high energy, with the ability to own features and experiences end-to-end
  • Treats agentic tools as core instruments of the craft; skilled at prompting, orchestrating, and critically evaluating AI output; knows when to trust it, when to steer it, and when to overrule it
  • Thrives amid rapid tool and process change; re-learns workflows as the AI landscape shifts; manages competing demands and deals well with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness; generates suggestions for improving how the team works, not just what it makes; presents ideas in a manner that gets others' attention
