Job Summary

Conduct market research on domestic and global trends to define a distinct creative point of view for the knit tops category. Establish seasonal color direction and design through a complete outfit lens, ensuring head-to-toe versatility. Execute hands-on deliverables including CADs, concept boards, and sketches while collaborating with buyers, technical designers, and vendors on fabric approvals. Manage multiple seasons simultaneously, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and meeting seasonal deadlines. Partner weekly with buyers on assortment planning and bi-weekly with technical design on fit intent. Co-create seasonal trend stories with the Senior Director of Design to translate vision into brand-right products.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Apparel Design
  • 10+ years of professional apparel design experience
  • extensive background in women's ready-to-wear clothing
  • deep expertise in cut-and-sew knits
  • product development experience
  • Proven track record of shaping seasonal direction and color stories
  • sharp market instincts

  • Comfortable operating at both a strategic and highly detailed level

  • Wash, finish, and fabric development experience in RTW and cut-and-sew knits

  • Keep design samples, development records, vendor submits, and seasonal CAD boards organized and accessible
  • Manage multiple seasons at once, hitting deadlines and adherent to seasonal calendars
