Job Summary
Own end-to-end design for custodian and data workflows on the Dispatch platform, leading from problem decomposition through high-fidelity delivery. Design complex, data-dense UX for financial advisors by turning messy data into legible, usable interfaces and weaving new capabilities into existing scalable workflows. Collaborate closely with engineering and product management through iterative prototyping and hands-on implementation guidance while building foundational design systems and advocating for design as a function. Ground decisions in research and usability testing, communicating the rationale behind choices to navigate ambiguous requirements and complex constraints.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI
- proven ability to execute high-craft, technically informed solutions
- personal track record of shipping complex work end-to-end
- portfolio that shows comprehensive ownership, from discovery through shipped features, on real products with real constraints
- Demonstrated experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces or workflow tools
- Meaningful contribution to a design system: components, patterns, or documentation you have owned, maintained, and championed
- Grounding in facts and principles: you plan and run research and usability testing, and turn what you learn into design decisions
- A track record of communicating the 'why' behind design decisions and navigating complex requirements across engineering, product, and business
- Comfort operating in ambiguity with a proactive approach to problem-solving in mission-critical, time-sensitive environments
- Sharp judgment — You reason from first principles, ask the right questions, and make sound calls when requirements are ambiguous or custodian rules conflict
- Craft you hold yourself to — Your work has an eye: spacing, hierarchy, interaction and error states
- Bias for action — You default to high-quality output shipped quickly
- Driven and proactive — You are intrinsically motivated

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, wealth management, or another enterprise or regulated industry
- Familiarity with front-end coding and how the front end is built, enough to support implementation that meets our design standards and scales, and to be a stronger partner to engineering
- Facilitation skills to lead workshops and align cross-functional partners on user needs and direction
- Experience designing AI-native surfaces: human-in-the-loop flows, review-and-approve patterns, and confidence or uncertainty states
- Experience seeking out and folding new tools and methods of operating, designing and building into your own workflow
- actively building fluency in emerging technologies like AI
