Job Summary
Champion high-level live initiatives and coordinate across departments to hit delivery goals while maintaining the live team roadmap. Triage, prioritize, and delegate tasks across the live team spanning QA, release engineering, and production leadership to keep operations running smoothly. Partner with cross-functional groups to ensure successful first-party submissions, proper issue tracking, and clear communication of online service health to leadership. Coordinate incident reporting for online tests and live games, re-examining processes to future-proof against similar issues. Work with partners to ensure new content and events are delivered to the community smoothly and on time, identifying operational and technical risks early to own mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in the games industry, with meaningful time spent in live operations
- Good sense of perspective - able to switch between 'details' and 'big picture' as needed
- Experience managing rapid-release content schedules and live operations on online multiplayer titles for Console and PC platforms
- Experience shipping console game titles including dealing with first party certification processes
- Experience with scheduling tools and managing a project budget
- Experience in risk analysis and mitigation, as well as incident report tracking and analysis
- Capable of multitasking and managing several important items at once, without allowing anything to be lost in the process
- Excellent communicator at all levels — team members, leads, and senior leadership — stays composed and focused under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with remote studios and contractors
- Deep understanding of online infrastructure best practices and methodologies including performance, scalability, reliability and security needs and considerations
