Job Summary
Senior Producer for the MS NOW weekend show (airing 10AM–1PM on Saturdays and Sundays) based in Universal City, CA. Lead the editorial vision, assist the Executive Producer, and supervise show staff and segment producers. Responsibilities include filling in for the Executive Producer, copy editing scripts, directing the live show from the control room during regular programming and breaking news, coaching and mentoring team members, writing/producing segments, driving show planning, and producing content for digital platforms and MS NOW7s direct-to-consumer products. Requires ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, strong storytelling and writing skills, and experience with field tape production and current events knowledge. Must be able to work weekends and have unrestricted US work authorization; willing to work flexible hours and travel as needed. This role may include company-sponsored benefits; salary range is $135,000–$190,000 and bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor0s degree or relevant working experience
- 6 years of editorial experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Experience developing producer talent
- Control room experience and breaking news experience
- Ability to multi-task on a tight deadline
- Must be willing to work in Universal City, California
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing and able to work weekends
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
