Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
Lead sourcing activities across Australia and New Zealand, including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier negotiations. Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies to support business objectives while identifying opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvement. Conduct spend analysis, market assessments, and supplier evaluations to inform procurement decisions, then manage end-to-end supplier relationships through contract negotiations, performance management, and ongoing governance. Partner with business units, project teams, finance, legal, and risk groups to deliver initiatives and provide guidance on policies and governance requirements. Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier and commercial risks throughout the procurement lifecycle. Prepare procurement reports, business cases, and executive-level presentations to support decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years' experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain roles
- Demonstrated experience leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, category management and supplier management principles
- Proven contract negotiation and contract management capability
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Well-developed analytical and financial acumen, including spend analysis, cost modelling and business case development
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis, reporting and executive presentations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proactive and outcomes-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Qualifications in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Supply Chain
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale outsourcing, technology or managed services agreements
- Experience supporting major bids, commercial proposals or business case evaluations
- Procurement experience across both direct and indirect spend categories
