Job Summary
Create, review, and issue purchase orders with accuracy, ensuring all required documentation, coding, and approvals are in place. Source routine goods and services by comparing pricing, lead times, and specifications across contracted vendors. Track open POs, follow up on delivery timelines, and escalate backorders to Procurement Managers as needed. Validate pricing against negotiated contract terms and correct invoice discrepancies before payment processing. Support vendor onboarding, gather required documentation, and redline standard contracts in partnership with Legal. Negotiate commercial terms for routine and mid-tier agreements and serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries. Maintain accurate master data integrity and process validation within Workday, providing end-user enablement and troubleshooting support.
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare experience OR Workday experience
- 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience
- demonstrated exposure to contract review and vendor negotiation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactional work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions (standard commercial terms, SLAs, indemnification, payment terms)
- ability to identify and escalate risk
- Strong communication and customer-service skills when working with vendors and internal teams
- EST or CST time zone
- willingness to work during EST/CST business hours
