Job Summary
Lead and execute category strategy for FDF/External Supply at regional/global level; translate global strategies into actionable sourcing plans; drive end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, qualification, negotiations, and contract execution with external manufacturing networks; own supplier relationships (CMOs) and drive performance management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement; deliver value through cost optimization, innovation, and efficiency improvements; lead cross-functional projects across supply chain, quality, regulatory, and technical stakeholders; develop market intelligence on supplier landscape, industry trends, and risks impacting pharmaceutical supply; ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in pharmaceutical procurement, with strong exposure to FDF or Pharmaceutical Direct Material categories
- Proven track record working with Pharmaceutical Manufacturing sites, Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and/or experience in Business Development & Licensing (BD&L)
- Strong strategic sourcing and negotiation experience managing high-value, complex supply agreements
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, regulatory environment, and quality requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier performance and drive value through partnerships and innovation
- Experience operating in global and cross-cultural environments with multiple stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance cost, quality, and supply risk in decision-making
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills, with fluency in English
