Job Summary
Senior Process Technician role based in Dunsandel, Canterbury, NZ. Responsibilities include monitoring, analysing, and optimising automated dairy processing systems (thermalisation, homogenisation, membrane filtration), interpreting process parameters for stability and product consistency, managing start-ups/shutdowns/changeovers, ensuring HACCP/RMP/GMP/allergen controls and traceability, analysing performance data for yield/energy/water efficiency and downtime reduction, supporting continuous improvement, conducting root cause analysis and CAPA, coordinating CIP/COP with engineering and quality teams, operating HMI/SCADA and plant control systems, and maintaining accurate batch and quality records. Salary NZD 40-48/hour equivalent to USD 83,200–99,840 annualized. Requires 3–5 years in dairy processing or related field, NZQF Level 5 minimum, and experience with automated plant/control systems.
