Job Summary
Set molds in presses and run production using established processes; operate and troubleshoot injection molding; train process technician trainee as needed; troubleshoot molding processes and machine/tooling malfunctions; communicate problems and information to supervisor; implement ideas to improve department efficiency; participate in quality problem solving with the quality department; perform housekeeping and environmental safeguards; handle equipment and process-related tasks with focus on quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience working with molds (mold setting and injection mold processing) in a manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting molding processes and machine/tooling
- Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation, preferred
- Knowledge of plastic materials and their processing characteristics
- Experience with computer controlled machines
- Experience with Engle machines and robots, preferred
