Job Summary
Senior Process Improvement Engineer leading cross-functional initiatives to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and raise product quality in Support Operations. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing process improvements, developing standardized job instructions and training documentation, providing engineering support across 2nd and 3rd shifts including weekend coverage, and applying problem-solving tools (5 Why’s, Fishbone, 8D, DMAIC) to resolve chronic issues. You’ll track production metrics using Excel pivots and EAM systems, collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on ergonomic improvements and root-cause analysis, and lead Kaizen activities focused on OEE, scrap reduction, and productivity. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or 5+ years in stamping operations), strong mechanical/process troubleshooting, proficiency in Excel, familiarity with EAM systems, and experience with metal stamping or fabrication, with the ability to work varying shifts and provide coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years’ experience in Stamping operations.
- Strong mechanical and process troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with EAM systems.
- Willingness and flexibility to work varying shifts and provide weekend/vacation coverage.
- Experience with transfer and single-stage presses and background in metal stamping or fabrication.
