Senior Process Engineer - Gas Handling

Senior Process Engineer - Gas Handling with Divert: Serve as the gas and RNG systems subject matter expert, providing optimization, troubleshooting, and constraint-resolution support for existing facilities. Own full technical understanding of biogas collection, gas upgrading, CO2 removal, compression, gas quality, and pipeline injection. Provide routine and ad hoc guidance to site teams operating RNG facilities; identify and scope improvement projects; lead process equipment and sub-system support to ensure spares, PMs, and operating procedures are clear and vendor support is organized. Drive site-wide performance by benchmarking facilities, tracking vendor and industry developments, and recommending upgrades to improve reliability, methane recovery, compression performance, and gas injection uptime. Lead gas handling and upgrading design for development projects, issue RFPs, manage technology/vendor selection, and collaborate with vendors/contractors for integration with balance of plant. Develop commissioning plans and support facility commissioning/start-up; participate in commercial and regulatory discussions, staying current with standards and how product specs, customer requirements, permit conditions, and renewable energy credit programs affect design. Evaluate alternative approaches to biogas utilization. The role is remote with significant travel (up to 50% initially, toward 25% long-term), based within a reasonable distance of a major airport; near-term travel supports commissioning of facilities in Lexington, NC and Longview, WA.
