Job Summary
Senior Process Engineer leading gas handling and RNG systems across facilities. Own biogas collection, gas upgrading, CO2 removal, compression, gas quality, and pipeline injection; provide routine and ad hoc guidance to site teams; identify and scope improvements; lead equipment and sub-system support for operations and maintenance; drive site-wide performance through benchmarking, vendor/industry insights, and recommending upgrades for reliability, methane recovery, and uptime. Lead gas handling design for development projects, issue RFPs, manage technology/vendor selection, collaborate with contractors and internal disciplines, develop commissioning plans, and support facility startup. Engage in commercial and regulatory discussions, stay current with evolving standards and how product specs, permits, and renewable energy credit programs affect RNG facility design. Evaluate novel approaches to biogas utilization; travel up to 50% near-term for commissioning in NC and WA locations; long-term travel up to ~25% nationwide. Bachelor’s in chemical engineering, 5+ years in related facilities, and strong leadership and communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience designing or operating gas upgrading / renewable natural gas production facilities
- Strong leadership, independent thinking, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
