Job Summary
Senior Process Engineer - Gas Handling responsible for serving as the gas and RNG systems SME, providing optimization, troubleshooting, and constraint resolution for existing facilities; owning technical understanding of biogas collection, gas upgrading, CO2 removal, compression, gas quality, and pipeline injection systems; delivering routine and ad hoc guidance to site teams; identifying and developing improvement projects; leading process equipment and subsystem support to improve plant execution, spares, PMs, procedures, vendor support, and issue resolution; driving site-wide performance and technology ownership by benchmarking operators and identifying upgrades to improve reliability, methane recovery, compression performance, and gas injection uptime; leading gas handling and upgrading design for development projects, issuing RFPs, managing technology/vendor selection, collaborating with vendors/contractors, developing commissioning plans, and supporting facility commissioning and start-up; participating in regulatory discussions and evaluating alternative biogas utilization approaches; travel up to 50% in near term and 25% long term, with base near a major airport; requires Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and 5+ years experience in gas upgrading/RNG facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience designing or operating gas upgrading / renewable natural gas production facilities
