Senior Principle Engineer

Job Summary
Serve as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals. Monitor and review operational budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements while developing, analyzing, and troubleshooting technical skills during research and product development. Perform engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, and repair of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, and formulate corrective actions such as schedule revisions and fund allocations. Lead teams to the successful completion of major programs and projects with up to 10% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of systems engineering concepts, principles and theories
- Expert proficiency with requirements management & system modeling tools
- Agile Methodology knowledge and experience
- Platforms: Microsoft Windows® operating systems, Linux, VMs, UNIX
- Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to get buy-in on concepts and ideas
- Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task
- Aptitude to quickly grasp and apply new information
- Effectively leads teams to the successful completion of major programs and projects
- Ability to interact with project teams, managers and end users
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- SATCOM & RF Experience
- Testing & Troubleshooting of secure Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs)
- Recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in multiple technical areas
- Experience with Development & Collaboration Tools (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, ClearQuest, et. al.)
- Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages
