Job Summary

Senior/Principal Wind Energy Yield Analyst to lead energy assessment activities across onshore and/or offshore wind portfolios. Deliver bank-grade energy yield estimates (P50/P90/P99), drive methodological improvements, and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle from early prospecting to financial close and optimization. Act as SME, collaborating with development, engineering, commercial, and finance teams to ensure robust yield assumptions. Responsibilities include leading long-term energy yield assessments, wind resource modelling with WAsP/WindFarmer/OpenWind/WindPRO, QC of met mast/LiDAR/SCADA data, data management and uncertainty analysis, design of measurement campaigns, site selection and turbine layout input, high-quality reporting for lenders and investors, evaluating turbine technologies, mentoring junior analysts, and contributing to internal tool and workflow improvements. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective communication for stakeholders, and ability to deliver bankable analyses for due diligence and external partners. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Renewable Energy, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Proven experience in wind energy yield assessment
  • Advanced proficiency in resource modelling tools (WAsP, WindFarmer, OpenWind, WindPRO, CFD tools)
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and MCP methods familiarity
  • Experience with met mast and LiDAR data analysis and campaign design
  • Understanding of turbine technologies, wake effects, and performance analytics
  • Strong communication skills for technical-to-non-technical translation
  • Experience producing bankable reports for lenders/investors/due diligence
  • Experience with offshore wind modelling
  • Python/MATLAB/R or similar for workflow automation
  • SCADA-based energy assessments
  • Knowledge of ESG or grid integration considerations
  • Experience carrying out solar energy yield assessments
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with quality focus
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
