Senior/Principal Wind Energy Yield Analyst

Job Summary
Lead energy yield assessments for onshore and offshore wind projects; develop long-term yield estimates (P50/P90/P99); perform wind resource modelling using industry-standard tools; oversee data from met masts, LiDAR, SoDAR, and SCADA with QC and uncertainty analysis; conduct terrain, atmospheric, wake, and turbine performance assessments; manage large measurement datasets; apply MCP methods and climate adjustment methodologies; support campaign design and site selection; produce high-quality due diligence and lender reports; mentor junior analysts and lead tool/workflow improvements; collaborate with development, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams; engage with developers, OEMs, financiers, and external stakeholders; maintain a hybrid work model with flexible office/remote arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Renewable Energy, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven experience in wind energy yield assessment (onshore, offshore, or both)
- Advanced proficiency in resource modelling tools (WAsP, WindFarmer, OpenWind, WindPRO, CFD tools)
- Strong statistical analysis skills and deep familiarity with MCP methods and uncertainty frameworks
- Experience with met mast and LiDAR data analysis, campaign design, and validation
- Excellent understanding of turbine technologies, wake effects, and performance analytics
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings for non‐technical stakeholders
- Experience producing bankable reports for lenders, investors, or due diligence processes
- Experience with offshore wind–specific modelling (incl. complex wake environments, floating LiDAR)
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, R, or similar data analytics languages for workflow automation
- Experience with operational performance analysis and SCADA‐based energy assessments
- Knowledge of ESG or grid integration considerations for wind assets
- Experience carrying out solar energy yield assessments
- Analytical and detail‐oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in cross‐functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
