Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to develop the next generation product line solutions in avionics systems. Responsibilities include capturing requirements, designing, validating, and verifying systems, and collaborating across systems, hardware, and software functions. Candidates should have extensive experience in safety-critical systems, authoring and validating requirements, and a strong background in STEM disciplines. Strong communication skills and adaptability are essential for success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience with safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B).
- Experience authoring and validating requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the avionics equipment certification process.
- Experience working with stakeholders to generate concepts of operations and use cases.
- Experience authoring in-depth technical documents
- Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software.
- Experience developing automated tests utilizing scripting.
- Excellent communication skills for both internal and external customers.
- Adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborating with teammates to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.
