Job Summary
Senior Principal Software Engineer to own the Databricks platform architecture on AWS, build Terraform/Python automation, mentor teams, and drive high-impact data innovation within JPMorgan Chase's Chief Data & Analytics Office. Lead architecture of scalable Databricks infrastructure, define best practices for data engineering and data lake architectures, and deliver enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Databricks, Terraform, and AWS. The role emphasizes mentoring teams, reinforcing secure, production-grade code, and advancing data platforms to enable business insights and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 10+ years applied experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Databricks platform administration
- AWS networking
- infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
- Python and/or Java application program development with automated unit testing
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Hands-on practical experience with terraform development and understanding of terraform enterprise
- Hands-on experience with GitHub / Bitbucket code versioning tools, Jenkins build tool and pypi / maven artifactory integrations
- Experience in managing product release lifecycle at enterprise level.
