Job Summary
Manage challenging technical projects involving financial and technical evaluations, design, permitting, and construction for sediment remediation and waterfront redevelopment. Lead investigation and remediation projects while overseeing budgets, schedules, quality, and client satisfaction. Evaluate contaminated sites, develop work plans, and implement pilot tests including vendor selection and field team supervision. Write technical reports, proposals, and specifications, then mentor early-career staff on project performance and career development. Build client portfolios by winning new business and fostering relationships with regulatory personnel. Conduct site visits, multi-media sampling, drilling oversight, and remediation construction as needed, driving vehicles to project locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental) or geology
- At least 8 years of direct environmental consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest marketplace
- Detailed understanding of CERCLA and other applicable state regulations
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients, and leadership skills
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in the same field
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E. P.G.)
- 10+ years of direct environmental consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest marketplace
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers
