Job Summary
Senior/Principal Scientist – Pharmacometrician focus: accountable for the scientific and technical quality and timeliness of pharmacometric (Modeling and Simulation) support for development projects across diseases, developing and executing PK/PD models, conducting simulations to inform dosing and trial design, coordinating with Clinical Pharmacology, producing strategy and project documents, and guiding external consultants. Offers opportunity for methodological innovation, cross-team collaboration, and potential dual-role framework in clinical pharmacology. Emphasis on building M&S strategy, integrating M&S into development plans, ensuring communication across teams, and mentorship within the Clinical Pharmacology department. Location in Shanghai, China; full-time role with global impact and a strong emphasis on scientific rigor, ethics, and cross-functional leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree or PharmD or PhD in natural science with relevant related experience in the planning and conduct of M&S projects for pre-clinical or clinical study data
- Experience in planning and conduct of M&S projects for pre-clinical and clinical study data
- Experience with M&S software NONMEM, S-Plus or R/SAS, WinNonlin, Trial Simulator (TS) and programming
- Good knowledge of Drug Discovery and Development process
- Good knowledge of GCP and regulatory guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills (global)
- Highly effective verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Ability to learn from experience and adapt with feedback
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities
