Job Summary
Senior/Principal Scientist in ADC Conjugation Process Development responsible for optimizing conjugation and purification parameters for ADC Drug Substance development, leading scale-up from milligrams to multi-gram batches, supporting regulatory submissions and tech transfer with CDMOs, and guiding cross-functional teams. Key activities include DOE/OFAT parameter exploration, multi-gram purification optimization via UF/DF and chromatography, acting as the ADC DS SME in internal and external teams, preparing SOPs/protocols/reports for GMP activities, and contributing to regulatory submissions (IND, IMPD, BLA). Required expertise spans ADC conjugation technologies, linker-payloads, and GMP/compliance, with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years biotech/biopharma industry experience with a Ph.D., 8 years with a Master’s, or 10 years with a Bachelor’s degree
- ADC or Conjugation/Bioconjugation Process Development focus is required
- Experience with development and scale-up of different ADC conjugation technologies and linker-payloads
- Tech transfer experience, external CDMO engagement, and coordination with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of GMP standards and regulatory guidelines; experience supporting IND, INDa, and BLA submissions
- Strong analytical/characterization skills (SEC, HIC, RP UHPLC, LC-MS, icIEF, CE-SDS)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
