Senior Principal RF Range Architect and Integrator

Job Summary

Develop antenna, radome, advanced sensor systems, and/or RCS ranges/chambers. Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams to define, analyze, simulate, implement, and evaluate requirements for ranges and chambers, including relevant test equipment. Oversee implementation of new ranges/chambers and collaborate with government personnel to define and refine requirements for compliance validation. Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training to employees across the business within areas of expertise. Lead teams, provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, and work with the Engineering organization to establish technology roadmaps, enable modernization, and contribute to general innovation. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ, requires a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Ability to obtain special program access after start
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • A minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience
  • Testing of antennas or radomes in a chamber or test range
  • Operation of an antenna, radome, and/or RCS chamber/range
  • Demonstrated knowledge of antenna and/or sensor measurement theory and range operation

Desired Qualifications

  • Master of Science (MS) or PhD in electrical engineering
  • Significant experience simulating and/or estimating the effects of propagation, reflections, and scattering on an antenna under test (AUT) in an anechoic chamber
  • Measurement of hardware for RCS
  • Significant experience specifying, building, and validating antenna, radome, and/or RCS ranges/chambers
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
  • Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and GRASP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from multiple sources
  • Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction
  • Demonstrated ability to put forth and drive technical execution plans
  • Knowledgeable of management processes, such as Earned Value
  • Experience presenting in technical reviews
  • Understanding of near-field-to-far-field processing algorithms
  • Experience designing and testing datalink, flight termination, telemetry, and/or GPS antenna systems
  • Experience being a Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead
