Job Summary
Senior/Principal Physician leads China development strategy for the oncology portfolio, oversees protocol development, preparation for clinical challenges and governance reviews, and health authority interactions. Manages clinical trials as a medical lead in collaboration with cross-functional partners; provides strategic physician expertise to quantify benefits, risks, value and uncertainty of trials; ensures leadership, quality, and integrity of study information; networks with colleagues and experts to provide medical consultancy beyond the project team; maintains up-to-date knowledge of best practices; coaches junior physicians and supervises as needed; maintains close connection with global study teams throughout the study. Includes leadership in China development planning, protocol development, governance committee reviews, and regulatory interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Master degree in medical discipline or above
- Experience as a clinical physician
- Experience of management and design of clinical trials
- Minimum 7 years of experience as clinical research physician in pharma industry R&D
- Therapeutic area expertise
- Desirable PhD in scientific discipline
- Extensive general medical knowledge
- Extensive experience in managing or designing complex clinical trials which require close monitoring
