Job Summary

Lead the design and development of integrated radar subsystems prototypes, ensuring they meet customer requirements through hands-on hardware and electrical component integration. Oversee the testing and validation of prototype hardware by developing test plans, conducting tests at RTX facilities and offsite customer demos, and analyzing results to verify performance. Manage technical project tasks including capturing new CRAD efforts, developing white papers, and documenting requirements while handling cost, schedule, quality, and performance metrics. Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and frequently travel between Marlborough, Tewksbury, Portsmouth, and Andover facilities to support program proposal efforts and Advanced Integrated Surface Sensor portfolio development.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Minimum 7 years' experience (if advanced degree)
  • Experience in mechanical design for military or aerospace or commercial applications
  • Experience with innovative mechanical design and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with IRAD development in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with electronic packaging
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Very strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with ANSI drawing standards and/or first order or structural analysis techniques
  • Experience in proposal development through technical execution of fast paced design, build and testing of prototype units
  • Familiarity with the design and manufacturing processes of CCAs, metal housings, sheet metal
  • Experience with CREO(Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software
  • Experience with ANSYS Mechanical or similar FEA modeling software
  • Strong technical background with high technical aptitude
  • Strong leadership skills and project management
