Job Summary
Senior Principal Antenna Design Engineer based in McKinney, Texas. Design, development, and deployment of RF passive circuits (radiators, RF manifolds, RF transitions) and electromagnetic (EM) modeling within the Airborne Antenna Design department. Lead and execute design, verification, and validation activities; advance radiator design and EM modeling through innovation. Requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 10 years of relevant experience in RF passive circuit design, EM modeling, antenna engineering principles (including phased array theory), and proficiency with test equipment (Antenna Ranges, VNA, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters). Preferred qualifications include MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering and experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Matlab, and CAD tools. Eligible for relocation; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret) required. The role is on-site in McKinney, TX with potential for relocation based on eligibility; salary range between 132,400 USD and 251,600 USD; RTX as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in RF passive circuit design and EM modeling
- Experience with antenna engineering principles including phased array theory
- Experience with structured design processes, root-cause problem solving, and on-time/on-schedule task execution
- Experience with test equipment including Antenna Ranges, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters
