Job Summary
Senior Principal Advanced Systems Leader (Onsite) leads and secures funding for high-impact, multi-million-dollar R&D and transition programs, plans field tests on land or at sea, and ensures delivery of complex technical programs. The role requires traveling to partner, customer and corporate sites, and managing teams of scientists and engineers through the full lifecycle of technology development. Requires active DoD Secret security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C, or C++. PhD or advanced degree in a related field is preferred; experience in physical sciences, mechanical engineering, sensing and signal processing, acoustics, or related disciplines, and prior success capturing R&D contracts with U.S. Government customers are advantageous. The position is onsite at Middletown, RI, with relocation assistance available and a salary range of 132,400 USD to 251,600 USD. Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date
- Fluent in at least one commonly used programming language such as Python, Matlab, C, or C++
- Experience forming and leading teams of scientists and engineers through full lifecycle of technology development
