Senior Pricing Analyst

Job Summary

Independently develop and defend financial models projecting the impact of proposed pricing arrangements while evaluating financial exposure and suggesting alternative structures. Directly communicate pricing recommendations and projected profitability to partners, utilizing data mining to analyze matter precedent and maintain a precedent database. Lead collaboration with attorneys to build detailed client budgets, develop pricing templates, and gather financial data for client RFP responses. Track fee write-ups, manage concurrent requests in a fast-paced environment, and mentor junior analysts by reviewing and refining their work. Stay informed on market pricing trends to improve the Firm's capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Mathematics or Business Administration
  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in pricing or similar role, preferably in a legal or other professional services environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex financial metrics both in writing and orally
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and ability to synthesize numerical data and metrics effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling in MS Excel with proficiency in manipulating raw data into valuable information
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Elite 3E and SQL
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with staff and attorneys at all levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work with strong attention to detail and minimal supervision
  • Highly accountable team player who strives to contribute to a growing pricing team and is continually utilizing creativity to identify new ways that the team can grow as a valuable asset to the Firm
  • Excellent judgment and ability to deal discreetly with confidential information
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA a plus
