Job Summary
Senior Price / Cost Analyst based in Poway, CA. Responsible for analyzing statistical and proposal data to develop independent price and cost recommendations to support negotiations with customers and suppliers. Duties include compiling and analyzing source data from government or commercial databases to establish price/cost positions, interfacing with internal teams and outside vendors, evaluating supplier proposals and cost elements, reviewing basis of estimates, auditing direct/indirect rates, performing regression analyses, assessing reasonableness of proposed costs, interpreting FAR/DFARS, maintaining cost models and reports, participating in cost/pricing reviews, and contributing to training of staff. Requires strong Excel skills, cost-modeling capabilities, experience with government contracting and procurement processes, and the ability to travel as needed. The role is Hybrid and full-time, with U.S. citizenship required and relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, systems engineering, mathematics or business administration
- fifteen or more years of experience in finance, accounting, business analytics, manufacturing estimating, or data analysis
- Must have experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create live cost models
- Must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of costing and pricing concepts
- Experience in government contracting including interfacing with audit agencies (DCAA/DCMA)
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulations
- Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them
- Customer-focused with strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work self-initiated and lead in a team environment
- Flexibility to work extended hours and travel
- Familiarity with government procurement process
- US Citizenship required
