Job Summary
The Senior Presales Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and pre-sales support, consulting with customers to deliver solutions aligned to their business needs. Responsibilities include serving as a senior technical advisor, building strong customer relationships, managing complex deal pursuits, and collaborating with Account Managers to advance opportunities. The role requires deep product expertise, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions across campus, branch, SD-WAN, security, and access control architectures. Candidates should possess significant pre-sales experience, technical depth in networking, and the ability to operate effectively in a competitive environment.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Significant pre-sales systems engineering, solution consulting, or related customer-facing experience in enterprise or cloud-focused environments
- Deep experience in campus and branch networking, including wired, wireless, SD-WAN, security, and network access control
- Experience with network access security solutions such as HPE Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Access Assurance, Cisco ISE, or similar platforms
- Solid working knowledge of data center and WAN technologies; direct hands-on experience in either or both is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting complex customer environments and translating technical capabilities into business value
- Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to influence both technical and business audiences
- Experience leading technical sales cycles, including discovery, technical validation, solution positioning, and proof-of-concept execution
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage from engineer to executive level
- A track record of building trusted customer relationships and partnering effectively with sales, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous, and highly competitive markets
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations primarily throughout the United States, with occasional international travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cloud, large enterprise, or distributed multi-site customer environments
- Experience with campus switching, wireless, branch networking, SD-WAN, SASE, NAC, security, data center networking, and WAN/routing
- Familiarity with modern networking operations, AI-driven management, and automation platforms
- Experience representing or supporting broad infrastructure portfolios across multiple networking domains
- Relevant industry certifications such as Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, or equivalent
