Job Summary
Senior Preconstruction Project Manager for EV Construction Management role leading planning and early execution for EV service center projects. Responsibilities include leading site feasibility assessments (zoning, access logistics, environmental constraints, infrastructure readiness), managing due diligence with internal and external teams, developing permitting/entitlement strategies with local authorities, coordinating design with consultants to meet operational, technical, and safety requirements, building and managing budgets and schedules with cost estimating and pricing reviews, defining EV charging infrastructure requirements with engineering and operations teams, coordinating with utilities for electrical systems, engaging with EVSE vendors and contractors to align on scope and timelines, reviewing electrical design packages for code compliance and scalability, acting as liaison between internal teams and external partners, identifying and mitigating risks early, delivering updates and business cases to leadership, contributing to design standards and workflows, supporting integration of renewable energy and energy storage, and overseeing a growing project pipeline. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years in real estate or infrastructure project management with focus on preconstruction; experience with EV charging tech, medium/high-voltage electrical infrastructure, NEC/NFPA codes, strong budgeting, stakeholder management, and SOX control experience. Salary range $160K-$180K per year for this full-time role. This is a remote-friendly position with a San Francisco, CA location noted for the office/remote arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in real estate or infrastructure project management, with a strong focus on preconstruction
- Experience with EV charging technologies, including Level 2 and DC fast charging systems
- Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects involving medium- and high-voltage systems, switchgear, and transformer installations
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and local electrical codes for commercial and industrial facilities
- Strong estimating and budgeting skills, with experience building cost models and schedules from the ground up
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to leadership
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve site-specific challenges and regulatory constraints
- Experience contributing to scalable systems, standards, and tools for infrastructure delivery
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable
