Job Summary
Senior Preconstruction Manager oversees the company’s preconstruction department from pursuit through turnover, mentoring and developing the team (Preconstruction Managers/Engineers and Estimators), guiding RFQ/RFP submissions, procurement strategy, schedule development, constructability reviews, cost modeling, and owner engagements. Leads Target Value Design and Value Engineering solutions to align scope, budget, and owner expectations, and prepares GMP documents and supporting exhibits for contract execution. Works cross-functionally with Operations, Estimating, Business Development, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment of pursuit strategy and project execution; maintains QA/QC procedures and promotes safety and professional standards. Requires strong leadership and communication skills, experience with CMAR/Design-Build/GMP/negotiated and hard bid projects, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field with significant preconstruction experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum 10 years of construction, estimating, or preconstruction experience
- Experience leading preconstruction efforts on commercial construction projects
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred
