Job Summary
Develop General Requirements estimates and prepare quantity surveys using construction estimating software, Lens, Revit, and/or ASE. Conduct effective presentations and collaborate with internal and external teams to build relationships. Read and understand drawings and specifications while applying knowledge of means, methods, and specific trades. Develop proficiency in required construction technology and Lean processes. Prepare work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. This role supports a recruitment and staffing firm serving multiple industries through customized solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years construction estimating experience
- Valid and unrestricted drivers license
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
- Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate)
- Ability to conduct effective presentations
- Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on strong Excel skills (Intermediate)
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications (Intermediate)
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (Intermediate)
- Proficiency in required construction technology
- Ability to prepare quantity surveys
- Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management (Intermediate)
- Knowledge of field operations through project support
- Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work (Intermediate)
- Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity
- Knowledge of MBE (Minority Business Enterprise), WBE (Women's Business Enterprise), and SBA (Small Business Administration) regulations (Intermediate)
- Ability to develop General Requirements estimates
- Knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project
- Ability to develop proficiency in Lens, Revit and/or ASE software
- Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
