Job Summary
Lead the growth of a local transportation planning and traffic engineering practice by developing a vision for expansion and delivering diverse projects including roadway and ITS work. Assist in marketing efforts with municipal, state, and private clients while managing projects profitably through agency specifications. Establish goals, build positive client relationships, and mentor staff to transition work effectively. Operate with integrity, provide business planning and strategy, and maintain open communication with partners. Enjoy autonomy to lead and direct business growth, supported by a performance-based bonus program and potential advancement to ownership.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
