Job Summary
Senior Power Electronics Control and Automation Engineer leads development of advanced power converter projects from concept to the delivery of a fully validated solution that meets specified requirements. Expertise in Automation & Controls technology for power generation, distribution, and balance-of-plant applications including but not limited to software for marine and industrial systems. Responsibilities include designing and implementing optimized control architectures, establishing total quality management for manufacturability, driving lean engineering processes, and enabling sales by aligning technical specifications with customer needs. Collaboration with global teams to leverage power converter technologies for North America, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements. Requires a Bachelor’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with substantial experience (10+ years for Bachelor’s or 5+ years for PhD), strong communication and leadership skills, and readiness to relocate to Imperial, PA with relocation assistance. Benefits and compensation include a pay range of $113,200 to $188,800, discretionary annual bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related with a minimum of 10 years of experience in automation and power systems projects and integration of controls OR PhD in Electrical Engineering or related with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and power systems projects and integration of controls
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in system engineering design, application and testing
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Real Time Simulators
