Job Summary
Perform diagnostic evaluations, skilled maintenance, and repairs on complex equipment and parts for the Department of Film & Television. Serve as a technical resource to junior staff by overseeing daily operations, coordinating work schedules, and preparing seminars to train students, faculty, and staff on analog and digital equipment use. Consult with production teams on equipment needs while maintaining facility inventory and ensuring security. Requires 3+ years of customer support experience in academic or production environments with advanced troubleshooting skills. Hourly rate is $42.098.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years providing customer support in an academic and/or production-related environment
- Experience in an equipment repair facility
- Knowledge of/ability to repair wide variety of equipment
- Skilled at troubleshooting
- Skill level for operating and repairing equipment is so advanced that this position is seen as a technical resource to other staff members
- Ability to train others to use equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certification
- Ability to operate and repair media and sound equipment such as Avid and ProTools
