Senior Position Classification Specialist

Job Summary
Provide advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management. Develop position descriptions by reviewing existing documents for accuracy, equity, and recertification. Determine appropriate titles, occupational series, and grades while creating evaluation statements and narrative justifications. Analyze classification actions to ensure compliance with OPM standards, guides, and 29 CFR regulations. Establish bargaining unit status codes, FLSA compliance, and prepare OPM OF-8 forms and relevant attachments. Requires seven years of relevant experience, Public Trust Clearance, and expertise in federal classification standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of experience providing advisory and consultative services to supervisors and managers regarding federal position classification and position management
- Public Trust Clearance
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with Federal position classification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff and the public as well as be persuasive when defending position determinations
