Job Summary
Senior Portfolio Manager – Freelance AI Trainer role focused on project-based investment testing and evaluation. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating investment scenarios (quarterly reviews, tax-impact math, rebalancing tests, ESG look-through), developing suitability checks against Investment Policy Statements, constructing fee analyses, and documenting results with verified calculations and policy citations. Candidates should have substantial portfolio-management or investment-research experience, strong English writing, and credentials such as CFA/CFP/CIMA/CIPM; FINRA licenses are a plus. Projects are part-time and remote, with compensation up to $60/hour equivalent in applicable projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years portfolio management experience or investment research in fiduciary contexts (RIA, private wealth, asset management, family office, or bank trust)
- Ability to compute time-weighted returns, attribution effects (Brinson framework), and portfolio-weighted expense ratios
- Practical knowledge of wash-sale rule and tax-lot accounting methods (FIFO, specific identification, HIFO)
- Investment Policy Statement literacy to identify constraints and flag conflicts with proposed recommendations
- Prospectus and fact-sheet reading discipline to distinguish marketing summaries from legal language
- Excel modeling competence with named cells and correct updates to performance attribution and tax-impact worksheets
- CFA charterholder, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, or CIPM credentials as strong positives
- FINRA Series 7, 65, or 66 licenses are a positive signal; absence is a potential red flag
- Strong written English (C1+)
