Job Summary
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic policies and projects that strengthen disaster recovery readiness across NSW. Deliver the Recovery Lessons Management Framework to enhance operational effectiveness while providing expert policy advice for evidence-based decision-making. Prepare high-quality written products and manage stakeholder relationships to align initiatives with government priorities. Perform as a State Emergency Recovery Controller Support Officer during emergency events, including deployment to the State Control Centre in Wollongong or the State Emergency Operations Centre as directed. This role combines strategic policy development with complex project delivery within the NSW Reconstruction Authority, supporting communities through faster recovery and reconstruction efforts.

- Relevant knowledge
- Relevant experience
- Emergency management knowledge
- Disaster recovery knowledge
- Willingness to deploy for short periods to locations outside of the Sydney area
- Willingness to work from other locations in Sydney such as the State Emergency Operations Centre
