Job Summary

Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence marketing policies at local and national levels while engaging with government officials, industry stakeholders, and community groups. Conduct research and analysis on relevant policy issues affecting the marketing industry, then prepare reports, position papers, and presentations to communicate policy recommendations effectively. Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on the organisation and its stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance on policy matters to senior management. Collaborate with internal teams to align advocacy efforts with organisational goals and organise events, workshops, and forums to raise awareness of key issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in policy development, advocacy, or a related area within the marketing sector
  • Strong understanding of the marketing landscape and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with policy analysis tools
