Job Summary
Design plumbing systems including medical/laboratory piping and gases, and develop performance specification fire protection systems. Create systems design calculations, equipment selections, and detailed design documents while conducting code compliance research. Write and edit project specifications, coordinate work with other disciplines, and perform on-site surveys to document existing conditions. Provide construction administration services and oversee junior-level staff. Work across healthcare, life sciences, academic, industrial, and corporate commercial sectors.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years design experience
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with Plumbing codes, NFPA standards, and Healthcare design guidelines
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize life work balance
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Good written and auditory communication and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- PE
- Certified in Plumbing design (CPD) accreditation
- ASSE 6060 Medical Gas design accreditation
- Experience in Fire Suppression System design
- Experience with Healthcare and Life Sciences
